You may be like most people who have wondered, “What will happen to me after I die?” This question is the most important question anyone could ever ask. Even if you are not familiar with the Bible or church, I want you to know this: there is a clear and hopeful answer. The Bible explains how you can be sure of your future, and that message is meant for everyone—not just religious people.
Many religions and philosophies have confused this subject, but the truth is simple: every person will spend eternity in one of two places—Heaven or Hell (). Hell is a place of eternal torment and separation from God. It is not temporary, and it cannot be escaped (). The Bible describes it as a place of horrifying darkness, tormenting regret, and unending punishment—the just result of sin and rejection of God’s mercy. Because Jesus loves us and does not want anyone to go there, He warned about Hell more than anyone else in the Bible. He wants everyone to go to Heaven, but Heaven is holy and no sin is allowed there. God has not lowered His standard of holy living so that everyone can enter Heaven, yet He has not left us without hope. In His mercy, He has provided a way for every person to live a holy life and escape the punishment of Hell.
Though many today never speak about genuine deliverance from sin’s power, God’s truth remains the same. Through sincere repentance, earnest prayer, and careful study of His Word, countless people have experienced real transformation and lasting freedom from sin. God’s power is strong enough to change your heart and break sin’s hold instantly. That same freedom can be yours—starting today.
At the very beginning of time, we learn that God created the first people to be pure and free from sin, living in close fellowship with Him. But Satan convinced them to disobey God, and their first disobedience destroyed that original goodness. Because of that first act of sin, every one of us born afterward—including you and me—came into the world contaminated by it (, ). We are sinners by nature.
Sin is the biggest problem in the world. It ruined the entire universe, and our earth. It brought sickness, destruction, and separation from fellowship with God. It will keep you from having real freedom and true happiness in this life; and if it is not corrected, sin will take you to Hell. Satan brought sin into this world, and he tries to keep people trapped by it. The good news is that God is more powerful than Satan. God can set you free from sin, and He can keep you free (, ). He wants to do that for you, TODAY!
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God loves you and has made a way for you to be saved from sin and death!
